Welcome, and thank you for stopping by. You’ve probably already worked out that my name is Ross C Brown – if you haven’t, then you’ve just learned something new.
Ross and Twitter
I joined Twitter about two years ago and since then I’ve built up a network of over 200 followers and made many valuable connections with people all over the world. I like to think of Twitter as glue, sticking together all aspects of my life – both online and offline. You’ll find many ‘tweets’ about my day to day life as a student of marketing, a business person, a technophile and a design junkie posted daily as well as photos posted via Twitpic and links to my other online activities.
So Ross, who actually follows you on Twitter?
I like to think of myself as a leader of men. However, in reality, my followers are predominantly female, over 35 years of age with a successful family life. Many of my followers work in IT, while some have glamorous careers in news gathering, social media consulting and digital marketing.
Why do they follow you?
You mean reasons other than my good looks and charming personality? I recently asked my followers and they answered with reasons like:
- He’s an interesting young fellow
- I like his outlook
- Naïve young people crack me up
- Sarcastic people need a little lovin’ too
- You can never hear enough about someone’s bus journeys
- He has good quality posts and updates alot.
And about my updates (tweets, if you will), respondents said they are:
- Personal and interesting
- Witty, conversational and relevant
- Informative
- Egotistical, but fun and engaging
- A f***ing pointless waste of time (but my Daddy says that about everything)
I’m sold, sign me up!
I’m glad to hear that. Be honest, it was my good looks and personality that sealed the deal? If you have a Twitter account you need to head over there now and follow me @rosscbrown. If you don’t have a Twitter account, you’ll need to sign up for one (don’t worry, it’s free) and then follow me!
Once you’ve done that, introduce yourself – if you don’t, I won’t know you’re out there! Let’s start a conversation, I can’t wait to talk to you!
Sorry Ross, Twitter just isn’t for me.
I’m sorry to hear that. But not to worry, you can always check me out on these other great sites:
