Have you ever been to a McDonald’s outlet in the UK and ordered a bottle of Tropicana Orange Juice?   I have been doing so for as long as I can remember and have always been disappointed.  Not because the OJ was bad but because I always managed to drink my way through the little bottle of juice much faster than I expected.  Until recently I attributed this anomaly to the salted fries ‘on the side’ making me extra thirsty. I’ve decided to start smoking. Don’t worry mum, I intend to quit as soon as Dundee NHS board start paying me £12.50 a week. The good people over at the Scottish Government in partnership with NHS Tayside are going to pay people £12.50 a week to give up the bad stuff. That’s right, money for not doing something. (more…)

For those of you who don’t know, I recently moved to Edinburgh for University and all that. As a result I use Google Maps all the time to find my way about. The other day I noticed the option to get directions using public transport.

I’ve always been rather impressed with Glasgow. I’ve always thought it to be architecturally diverse and generally well put together. In every respect except the M8 motorway.

Where the running out of money? Or did they have too much? The above picture clearly shows a bridge across the motorway that…. That well goes nowhere! Glasgow, what gives?

Some further investigation is required, I’ll keep you posted…
