With just 30 min to go I can tell that everyone is really excited. The Apple Store is down and the media are are taking there seats.
Stay tuned for more MacWord coverage once the show gets going. There’s something in the air…
(Yes, with 20min to go to the biggest Apple event of the year, I’m going to take a shower and restart computer - two very wise things to do!)

To be honest, I have no idea where I’d be without my SlingBox. Basically, you connect the SlingBox to your television (in this case, a Sky HD box) and Sling’ will sling the video across your LAN to your computer. Boo-ya!
But the fun does not stop there. Not only can you control your satellite/cable box from your computer but you can also pipe your television out of your LAN and onto the Internet for your viewing pleasure.

I was at the Apple store last night looking at the little iPhone and all that - man, it was pretty cool but unfortunately the 18 months of service with o2 didn’t look so attractive - especially seeing as it would be my ‘second’ cell phone.
iPhone ships for £269, then add on to that 18 months of service at £35/month - that makes for a very expensive gadget to ‘wow’ your friend with, in fact that adds up to £899!

Cisco has been running a series of really cool television adverts globally focusing on ‘the human network’. Unlike many advertisements these days, Cisco is selling a brand not a product and I like that.
