Apple

The date is September 9th, the city is Sn Francisco and today is Apple Inc’s “Let’s Rock’ keynote event.  As with previous Apple events, we have some coverage lined of for the rest of the day.  In this post I’ll outline what we are covering, why we cover Apple events and some predictions for todays event.

Our Coverage
Just as we did for the June 9th event, we will be providing coverage both here and over on our AppleLive Twitter account.  Thing’s will kick off around 17:50 in UK.

We’ll have our blow by blow (or boom by boom to use the vocabulary of Steve Jobs) account of the event.  This will be updated as quickly as we can but it might not be as ‘live’ as we would like as unlike the June 9th event, we don’t have anyone inside – but we are working on that.  The updates will also be pushed to the Twitter account.

After the event, expect a few posts reacting the the announcement(s) and more detailed information.  We also hope to do a ‘Reactions from the Twitterverse’ post – so don’t forget to @AppleLive message us on Twitter.

Why We Cover Apple
Well, for starters, I enjoy following Apple news.  The content that is published here is cleaned up by our copywriters (who make crappy English into nice, coherent, English) and syndicated across two internal properties for six external properties.

And at long last, some predictions:

The guys over at Buzz Out Loud claim the Beetles will offer their catalogue on iTunes
iTunes Version 8 (Done!)
iTunes Subscription Service

Price Drop in the iPod Touch (Done)
Refreshed iPod Nanos. (Done)
A 16GB variant of the Nano (Done)

Redesigned Environmentally friendly packaging for Apple products. (Well, environmentally friendly iPods.  Done)

Of course, I’m probably very wrong.  Oh well, only time will tell.  See you all later.
