In response to a few people who emailed me about my last post on CNET and hot on the heels of Pingdom who trawled through the domain names that Google use, here are the highlights from the 800 or so domain names pointing to the name server ‘ns.cnet.com’.

My personal favorites have to be The-Evil-Empire.com and YourDoingItAllWrong.com.   The list seems to suggests the CNET have also registered their existing domains like CNET.com with a CBS prefix making CBSCNET.com and/or CBS-CNET.com

There are a few limitations with the list I have.  I’ve only checked domains that point to CNET’s domain name serves.  I’ve not checked the WHOIS information to make sure that they are all registered to CNET.  Furthermore, CNET may have registered other domains that do not point to the name servers that were used to build the list.
