Lothian Buses

I’m a student, I live in a city. I spend between 40 and 80 minutes a day on a bus. When you add that up over a week thats quite a bit.

However, bus companies, unlike train operators don’t give a crap about you. Trains have refreshments, ticket inspectors, Wi-Fi and annoying PA announcements.

On the other hand, buses have junkies, the risk of bus relates injuries, a crappy free paper (which is also found on the trains so really can’t be considered an ‘exclusive’ feature of the bus) and the only announcements you get inform you that your bus stop is closed and the bus has been diverted to the other side of Edinburgh - that of course is on a good day, usually drivers are grumpy and anti-social and thus do not provide you with this information.

Dare we forget the daylight robbery that the bus is! £160 buys me twenty weeks of being thrown about, battered and bruised - compliments of Lothian Buses!
