Google Map - with Public Transport Data

For those of you who don’t know, I recently moved to Edinburgh for University and all that. As a result I use Google Maps all the time to find my way about. The other day I noticed the option to get directions using public transport.

Unfortunately only TWO buses are indexed, the Airport Express (a bus, as opposed to Mac hardware) and the Edinburgh Glasgow service. Neither of them particularly useful to me.

So my question is this, who’s responsibility is it to add bus routes to Google maps?

Does it happen by Lothian Buses uploading the data or is it a social thing whereby users map the bus routes?

This feature would be really useful to me if all the bus routes were marked in. I mean, I’m forever looking up places and asking myself which bus would take me there.

Who ever has to do it, get it done!
