Bridge to nowhere?
I’ve always been rather impressed with Glasgow. I’ve always thought it to be architecturally diverse and generally well put together. In every respect except the M8 motorway.
Where the running out of money? Or did they have too much? The above picture clearly shows a bridge across the motorway that…. That well goes nowhere! Glasgow, what gives?
Some further investigation is required, I’ll keep you posted…
This is an interesting picture, and I just noticed that the bridge is leading to nowhere! There are millions of these bridges all over the US since there was money that was misguided by the government.
I’ve seen several of these in the US too. A friend of mine and I have theorized that they are used for those Hollywood stunt films where the car drives off a bridge, or maybe a runway for a Jetson car.
This is a classic example of structure where use of it was overlooked for the presentation.
