A few weeks ago, one of my Hosting clients required a VPS package. Currently Kismet Hosting does not offer VPS hosting. I reluctantly agreed to source the hosting for him from a third-party.
Having heard good reviews from a friend, I chose Interhost, a UK based company. A move which has turned out to be a massive mistake.
The account was ordered and paid for but now, some three weeks later, Interhost are yet to provide any access details for the account.
I have opened many support tickets, none of which getting a reply and I have now telephoned some three times - each time being promised a telephone call back.
Now I’ve finally had it with them. I have sourced my client another provided and I’m off to try and get my money back.
I have emailed them removing my authorisation to continue billing my VISA card as I have a funny feeling they will, whatever the outcome of my efforts to contact them are. In doing so, I’ve covered my ass as VISA will consider the transactions to be fraud (as they do not have the cardholders authorisation).
I’ll keep you posted but in short, Interhost are very much a fly-by-night operation to be avoided.
