To be honest, I have no idea where I’d be without my SlingBox. Basically, you connect the SlingBox to your television (in this case, a Sky HD box) and Sling’ will sling the video across your LAN to your computer. Boo-ya!
But the fun does not stop there. Not only can you control your satellite/cable box from your computer but you can also pipe your television out of your LAN and onto the Internet for your viewing pleasure.
When on the road, I have the option of tuning in on the MacBook Pro via Wi-Fi or on my cell phone over the 3G data networks. The SlingBox software detect your connection and streams the best quality video for your connection. It is all very smart!
I love SlingMedia!

I am currently saving for the slingbox, so I can experience the same fortune that other users have received. When I get my slingbox, I can experience the same freedoms of TV has anyone else.

Slingbox..I had forgotten about that thing. Heard about it years ago and haven’t heard much until your remarks here. A slingbox! Well, well, well.
