Sam Brown is a web designer and developer from Edinburgh. Not only does he live in the same town as myself and shares the surname ‘Brown’ with me, he is also cool (like me).
I can’t quite remember how I found his personal blog but I have and its really neat in terms of content and layout. As Sam as recently updated his site, I thought I’d spend a few moments explaining why I like this site so much.

With just 30 min to go I can tell that everyone is really excited. The Apple Store is down and the media are are taking there seats.
Stay tuned for more MacWord coverage once the show gets going. There’s something in the air…
(Yes, with 20min to go to the biggest Apple event of the year, I’m going to take a shower and restart computer - two very wise things to do!)

Do you know an engineer? Does that engineer need a gift? If you answered ‘yes’ to both these questions (or even just the first one), GiftsForEngineers.com is for you!
Just before Christmas, I was continuing my quest to buy my friends the most amazing gifts ever. One of my friends is studying Civil Engineering at Glasgow and I was truly stumped as what to get her. In my moment of desperation, I turned to Google and entered the most inspired search string, ‘gifts+for+engineers’ and, as if by divine intervention, I discovered the above site.

To be honest, I have no idea where I’d be without my SlingBox. Basically, you connect the SlingBox to your television (in this case, a Sky HD box) and Sling’ will sling the video across your LAN to your computer. Boo-ya!
But the fun does not stop there. Not only can you control your satellite/cable box from your computer but you can also pipe your television out of your LAN and onto the Internet for your viewing pleasure.
