In this quick post which I’d like to talk about the older generation and the raw deal they get when it comes to technology.  I believe the older generation, through the intended kindness of the young generations, get a raw deal when it comes to technology - which ultimately hinders their use and enjoyment of technology.

Older people unfortunately tend to end up with second rate computers which would usually be scraped as they have come to the end of their usable life-cycle.  Now you could argue that a computer is better than no computer but my counter-argument is this; computer software manufactures are constantly working to improve accessibility in interface and service designs. These improvemnts however are not enjoyed by the older generation as they are stuck in the slow lane with computers waiting to be updated with the improved features and accessibility.

So if an older person ever complains abut their computer just remember how you got on with your system ten years ago because they are still enjoying floppy disk drives, dial up internet and blue screen of death error messages.
